From the moment I walked in the room I could feel the excitement in the room!! Shefali and Bryan had a huge support system there as they welcomed their first child into the world.

I love how laid back Bryan and Shefali were during the labor process. There were times labor would get intense and I love how supportive Bryan was when Shefali needed him. They are the sweetest couple. It was such a great experience and I am so thankful I had the opportunity to capture this time in their lives.

The Arrival of Landen Chase {Kansas City Birth Photographer}

I am so excited to start doing births and BIRTHday sessions full time. There is just something so special about witnessing the birth of a baby. Something about being able to capture these miracles for the families I meet. I am so excited!!

I met little Landen Chase the day after he was born. What a doll!

Little Oliver was the sweetest little guy. He was a little model and was so easy to photograph. He just slept the entire time I was there.

Baby Audra’s mommy was one of the winners of the giveaway I had back in January. She was such a sweet little girl. She was 1 week old when we met and was great to work with.

I got to meet Baby E and her sisters earlier this year. They all were so sweet!

Baby E wasn’t thrilled with being moved around a lot but still managed to get some great pictures of her. Then we headed outside on a beautiful day to capture some pictures with all 3 girls. It was a great session.

I got to meet baby C while I was out in California in the month of November. He was such a little sweet heart. He slept really well but wasn’t thrilled about being moved. He still was such a joy to photograph.

Sweet Bryn was so sweet to work with. Her big brother and sister we excited she was here too. We were able to capture some great images of her.

Little Miss Tessa was just 4 days old when I got to photograph her at home. If you missed my previous blog about Tessa’s birth you can check it out here.
The younger babies are the sleeper they and normally the easier they are. Tessa was super easy. She just slept away during her session.

The little cross in this next picture that Tessa has was her sister Morgan’s.

In the next picture Tessa is wearing an outfit her sister Morgan wore as a baby.

Birth of Baby T ~ Kansas City Birth Photographer

I was so excited to be able to capture the pictures of this birth for Dave and Shelley. This was baby #4 for Dave and Shelley, they have 1 girl and 2 boys and this baby was a surprise. Shelley had told me when we first talked that this could be a very emotional time as Shelley and Dave’s oldest daughter had passed away at the young age of 3 years old. Giving birth could bring back so many emotions and they just weren’t sure what kind of emotions this would bring. I am so thankful I was able to capture this precious time in their lives.

Shelley got induced August 1st. It was supposed to be early that morning but there were so many babies being born their induction time got pushed back till later that afternoon. I got the call and headed over to the hospital. I thought I was going to miss it!! Shelley had told me that she labors very quickly. And of course the day it arrived it seemed like forever before I finally got there. Thankfully I did make it on time.

Dave and Shelley were very laid back. We all watched the Olympics together. After a few short hours Shelley was complete and ready to start pushing.

The doctor was so cute. When the baby was coming out the cord was wrapped around the neck and the doctor said “I think its a girl she has jewelry on”. Sure enough she was right it was a girl!!
