The Arrival of Landen Chase {Kansas City Birth Photographer}

I am so excited to start doing births and BIRTHday sessions full time. There is just something so special about witnessing the birth of a baby. Something about being able to capture these miracles for the families I meet. I am so excited!!

I met little Landen Chase the day after he was born. What a doll!

Shelley’s Maternity Session ~ Kansas City Maternity Photography

I am so thankful to have met Shelley and her family. I had the privilege to photograph their maternity, birth and newborn pictures.

Shelley and Dave decided to not find out the sex of the baby and be surprised. So we met up at their home to capture some images there first before heading to the park. When I arrived Shelley joked and said I’m guessing maybe we think it’s boy since we are all wearing blue. Their boys Grant and Hadden were the cutest boys and so well behaved. They were just as excited as mommy and daddy about the baby coming.

Baby H and family ~ Kansas City Newborn Photographer

Its funny how small this world really is. I booked this session with mom and when they showed up at my studio I realized I knew them. Turned out that our sons swim together in the same class.

Baby H was 3 weeks old when we did his session. He was the sweetest little guy. Most the time by 3 weeks old they want to stay awake but this little guy was super sleepy. After the newborn session we went out a captured a few family pictures. We lucked out with a gorgeous afternoon for that. They were a joy to work with.

Miracle Baby Connor ~ Kansas City Newborn Photographer

Connor is truly a miracle baby. Connor’s mom was admitted to the hospital at 25 weeks. The doctors expected him to be born within days of mom being admitted to the hospital and they weren’t sure how he would be because at that time he wasn’t even 1lb but God had different plans for this little guy and his family. He ended up staying in for 15 more days and was born just shy of 27 weeks on August 17, 2012 weighing 1lb 1oz 10 1/2″ long. The picture below is from a picture his mom took at 1 day old.Connor Connor’s journey was very up and down in the beginning but this little miracle Connor pulled through. At 93 days old Connor was able to go home in time for Thanksgiving. That was a month earlier than they had expected.

While I was visiting California I was able to do a little mini session with Connor for my friends, his mom and dad. He is still so tiny yet so big from where he started. Enjoy!

The Alexander Triplets ~ Kansas City Newborn Photographer

I just love photographing babies but I was so excited when I heard from the momma of these 3 beautiful blessings. Their momma and I went to school together way back when. We both no longer live in Lancaster but we both ended up in Lancaster at the same time visiting. So on my last day in Lancaster I made time to squeeze in photographing these beautiful babies.

Meet Amelia, Noah and Ellanor. They are 4 weeks old here. Triplets are a lot of work but they were so good. It made it much easier to get these beautiful images of them.

Miss S {Kansas City Newborn Photographer}

I was asked to join Jennifer from Puhak Photography to come along and photograph sweet Miss S. She was a sweet sweet little girl and was so cooperative for us. Enjoy some of the images I captured that day.

Thank you Jennifer for allowing me to tag along and photograph this sweet little pea!!

Alaya 3 weeks {Kansas City Newborn Photography}

One of the best compliments you can get from a client is when they refer you to someone. That tells you that they like what you do enough to share you with others. That is how I got connected with Alaya’s mommy. She sent me an email because she had seen some of my other newborn work and loved it and wanted to make sure she captured this time in her daughters life like that.

Alaya was a little older than I normal do newborn type pictures with. Okay a lot older. I normally do newborn sessions when they are 5-10 days Alaya was 2 days shy of 4 weeks old. I always am a little apprehensive about it because the babies after 14 days aren’t as womb like anymore.

Thankfully Alaya was not that case. She was still so tiny and she slept like a champ.

Sweet Alaya you were such a joy to photograph. Thank you for being such a great little model.

Be blessed,

Amanda
